Monetizable free music is often thought of as copyright free music, no copyright music, or simply free music. These terms can be a bit confusing, as even music which maybe free are not necessarily monetizable, and monetizable does not necessarily mean the authors of the work give up their moral rights; the rights to be credited.

PlayLIST [All-IN] x150: “nrK7 (Punk Rock Holiday): Viaje al paraíso del Punk Rock”

———————-
“The Black Ocean” es el tema 02 del disco “Homesick / Roadsick” (2015)
———————-

Shoot me into the rising sun
Like shooting up with adrenaline
There is no pause there is no fear
There’s nothing that I can see
Only anticipation for what lies past The Black Ocean
I don’t know what I believe
In the end it won’t mean anything
I regret every precious moment I squandered away
When in the end you were everything

Every night moon starts a fire
Breathing breath into my deflated lungs
I am the moth she is the flame
From the Black Ocean she calls my name
There were nights I swore her light was the only love I’d ever know
Forget what you believe
In the end it won’t mean anything
When we were young we swore our hearts would never live to die alone!
How the hell could we have known?

I don’t know what I believe
In the end it won’t mean anything
I regret every precious moment I squandered away
When in the end you were everything

Forget what you believe
In the end it won’t mean a goddamn thing
When we were young we swore our hearts would never live to die alone!
How the hell could we have known?
You won’t go alone
I won’t let you go alone.

jazz, blues, – Sofa – Dazie Mae

Members
Chant : Jeanne
After 5 years as leader of the famous « Flying Cheddars Lovers », a kind of « trash ballroom dancing band” specialized in covering Gregorian sacred songs, Jeanne has now decided to stop the booze !
Piano/Mélodica : Mathias
Mat’s childhood took place in a little African village in south Botswana , where he was initiated to sacred dancings and musical habits of Congalaabawanaa. He’s never been quite the same ever since.
Guitare : Tom
Tom met one day Pat Metheny after a gig in Nancy (east of France). He immediatly kicked the guy’s face to steal his guitar. In fact he never leaves it alone, even taking it under the shower, which explain the weird sounds…
Basse : Serge
After being explelled from England for setting fire to a pub where some band were playing live using a “dreaded” drum machine, he writes his first album with around 54 post punk songs, all written in 4 days.
A short history of Dazie Mae
Why do we call ourselves DM ?
Of course, the famous Blues song from Johnny Lee Hooker. But also, with a slight different spelling, it is the “femme fatale” hero of the famous comic by Li’l Abner from the forties and fifties. And indication of how retro we are…
A musical genre ?
Well that’s a hard one! Just about a mix of everything (rolk, blues, jazz & bossa) At first that was mainly covers from anglo-saxon folk/rock from the 60/70. Then some original materials came along. In 2008, the band took a new turn towards “unexpected” arrangements of pop standarts. Played live in Paris in the spring of 2008.
We are now actively working on new original materials, songs with a center theme, the imaginary life of DM.
If you have been a reader of the famous comic strip, have old copies, know more about the story of DM, please write to us. We would like to know about her life, write more about the kind of women she was. Was Lou Reed right about her smelly feet???

What is ROCK AGAINST SEXISM? What does ROCK AGAINST SEXISM mean? ROCK AGAINST SEXISM meaning

What is ROCK AGAINST SEXISM? What does ROCK AGAINST SEXISM mean? ROCK AGAINST SEXISM meaning – ROCK AGAINST SEXISM definition – ROCK AGAINST SEXISM explanation.

Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license.

Rock Against Sexism (RAS) was a political and cultural movement dedicated to challenging sexism in the rock music community, pop culture and in the world at large. It was primarily a part of the punk rock music and arts scene.
RAS started in the UK in 1978, and by the mid-1980s also had a presence in North America. It was strongly inspired and influenced by Rock Against Racism and the two movements had many of the same participants.
In the UK, it began amid controversy when a Rock Against Racism event hired some Rastafarian reggae bands that some participants felt were misogynistic. This resulted in a discussion of sexism in music and art. The bands (Aswad and Misty in Roots) either responded by saying it was the will of God, or that they didn’t know what sexism was. The UK Rock Against Sexism often gained press coverage in the music press, such as the NME.
In the US, RAS Boston sponsored monthly dance parties at a local gay bar, the 1270. They put out a zine and promoted art events and gigs by non-sexist bands. RAS sponsored music workshops on writing, playing and promoting events.

Rock Against Sexism’s musical and political legacy was many more women playing in bands, working as promoters, and an increased awareness of women’s and queer perspectives in the punk rock community. Many trace the riot grrrl movement in the 1990s to RAS roots. It challenged heterosexism, homophobia, sexism and elitism, while challenging stereotypes of women, and the way they are represented.
Many later punk bands challenged the machismo of rock’n’roll by diversifying into cuddlecore, as well as the less rockist side of post-punk and New wave. It could be argued that RAS may have been the catalyst, as the advent of twee pop in the mid-1980s lead to rejection of the machismo of hardcore punk at the time.

The Australian New Wave (also known as the Australian Film Revival, Australian Film Renaissance, or New Australian Cinema) was an era of resurgence in worldwide popularity of Australian cinema, particularly in the United States. It began in the early 1970s and lasted until the mid-late 1980s.

The era marked the emergence of Ozploitation, a film genre characterised by the exploitation of colloquial Australian culture.

The Australian film industry declined after World War II, coming to a virtual stop by the early 1960s. The Gorton (1968–71) and Whitlam Governments (1972–75) intervened and rescued the industry from its expected oblivion. The federal and several state governments established bodies to assist with the funding of film production and the training of film makers through the Australian Film Television and Radio School, which fostered a new generation of Australian filmmakers who were able to bring their visions to the screen. The 1970s saw a huge renaissance of the Australian film industry. Australia produced nearly 400 films between 1970 and 1985, more than had been made in the history of the Australian film industry.

In contrast to pre-New Wave films, New Wave films are often viewed as fresh and creative, possessing “a vitality, a love of open spaces and a propensity for sudden violence and languorous sexuality”. The “straight-ahead narrative style” of many Australian New Wave films reminded American audiences of “the Hollywood-maverick period of the late 1960s and early ’70s that had just about run its course”.

Several films of the Australian New Wave are regarded as classics of world cinema and have been ranked among films considered the best. Published in 2004, The New York Times Guide to the Best 1,000 Movies Ever Made includes Walkabout, Mad Max, Breaker Morant, Gallipoli, The Road Warrior, The Year of Living Dangerously and Dead Calm. In 2008, Empire magazine chose The Road Warrior and The Year of Living Dangerously as two of the 500 Greatest Movies of All Time, ranking in at #280 and #161 respectively. The 2011 book 1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die features Walkabout, Picnic at Hanging Rock, The Last Wave, The Chant of Jimmie Blacksmith, My Brilliant Career, Mad Max and Gallipoli.

Since its re-release in 2009, Wake in Fright has been assessed as one of, if not the greatest, Australian New Wave film.
