BROCKHAMPTON: an american hiphop group calling themselves ‘The Internet’s first boy band’ formed in Texas in 2015 by Kevin Abstract on the forum ‘KanyeToThe’. We had no context on who BROCKHAMPTON were before listening to this. After seeing so many of you ask us to review them we had to check them out, and we’re very glad we listened. SATURATION = eclectic. We get a diverse range of vocal performances from a number of unique artists who seem to mesh very well together. This is not just rap, there are influences of punk, rock & roll and indie rock all across SATURATION. This probably works in BROCKHAMPTON’S favor as they’ll most likely have at least a couple tracks the average music fan will enjoy. Though this album is not cohesive as a collection of sounds and themes, to us, it’s a very enjoyable listen sonically, bar a few questionable moments on the album.
We accidentally listened to the first 10 tracks of the album thinking it was the whole album because my iTunes didn’t sync the album properly. Instead of making a 35 minute video we wanted to separate it as two different videos because it was two different listens. PART 2 releasing in about 24 hours. Jungle Beats aspires to be Australia’s plug to the best most prolific and unique hiphop artists in the world. @AlexanderPMann & @AlexSandalis host one of Australia’s few, and best HipHop podcast shows. Jungle Beats is purely about creatively sharing our love for music and hiphop with energy, positivity and passion. We started this in 2015 with a weekly 1 hour hiphop show on a radio station in Melbourne. In August 2016 we decided to create Jungle Beats. To us, Australia doesn’t have a strong hiphop identity within culture. Who do you think of when you think hiphop in Australia? Most think of 99 people OUTSIDE of this country. Maybe we can change that in some small way and push it forward. Jungle Beats is not what either of us focus the majority of our time on. Working on Jungle Beats Radio is side hustle of ours, so it’s not going to be perfect. It’s gonna be messy, haphazard and we’re gonna fuck up. But that’s music and we love it. Thank you for supporting us. You can follow us here and support us on Patreon if you choose:

Armed With Pop-Punk Vibes
Now based in Brooklyn, the band started making waves in Toronto in 2005 when original members Kiyomi McClosky (lead vocals and guitar) and Laura Petracca (vocals and drums) formed the group and came out with their first self-financed EP.
Since then, Hunter Valentine has released three full-length albums. Working with such producers as Greg Nori (Sum 41, Iggy Pop), Julius “Juice” Butty (Alexis on Fire, City and Color, Protest the Hero), and Ian Blurton (The Weakerthans, Amy Milan, Cursed, Lowest of the Low). Their blatant disregard for a typical girl-group sound has garnered them international attention. The girls’ success has taken them on tour around the world and back, opening for such artists as Sum 41 and Cyndi Lauper.
With even greater accomplishment on the horizon, Hunter Valentine has solidified their lineup in 2014. The band now has the ability to shake any audience to its core. The group will be featured on VH1’s Make or Break: The Linda Perry Project in July 2014 and will be releasing their fourth full-length album shortly thereafter. The band has paved their own way in the realm of edgy female performers.
