Green Day surprised everyone by playing 2 songs after the encore of the broadway show “American Idiot” Me and my friend were sitting center orchestra, row B thanks to an MTV contest. GREEN DAY ROCKED THE HOUSE!!!
Recorded on April 22, 2010 using a Flip Video camcorder.
At this stage, I think Green Day is out of tricks to offer us. We know they can soar between punk, pop-punk and hybrid showtune style composition, and they show that again. But this album feels…bland.

Green Day is getting back on the road. The band puts it 2012/2013 tour on hiatus for the sake of frontman Billie Joe Armstrong, and now it had revealed that it will start touring again starting March 28.Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong needed time off to deal with an ongoing substance abuse problem. Bassist Mike Dirnt said at the time of the announcement, “Obviously the timing for this isn’t ideal, but Billie Joe’s well-being is our main concern.”
“American Idiot was recorded in the order of the album. This was the last song and it brings everything together. It was a very emotional time when this song got finished. It was like, ‘This is it.’ It felt like school was out and we hopefully will see each other when summer’s over. It was sad. But you have the let the baby go. You do. You can’t be that greedy, and I remember going, ‘Okay, it belongs to them now.’ But for nine months, it was just us.”
