“On February 9th 2016, Mark Hoppus posted a 7 seconds a cappella teaser of what could be some vocal parts of the next Blink-182 on his Instagram account:
Matt Skiba, originally from Alkaline Trio, was the one singing. Like every fan out there, the members of the Swiss Pop Punk band Black Lemons where thrilled about it and started jamming on this vocal excerpt during their next rehearsal. Thus they wrote some anticipative cover / prediction song using Matt’s line as their chorus, which stands as their tribute to one of the band that influenced them the most.
They called me the same evening to know if I could record their track. And as a song is nothing without a few images nowadays, here it is with a little studio video play-through.
Make sure you check the Black Lemons, a young and promising trio of cool guys who play music like it is supposed to be done, with their guts and a high dose of energy.” [Conatus Studios]
