Basket Case by Green Day is one of my favourite songs of all time and in my opinion it is pretty much as close to a perfect song as you can get. I still love it just as much as I did when I first heard it close to 15 years ago and with my short attention span there aren’t many songs that don’t fall under the ’skippable’ category after that amount of time. I came across a drumless version of the song a while ago on YouTube and while I knew it would be almost blasphemy to toy with something so perfectly executed, I wanted to try something different, treat it as a blank canvas and have a go at rewriting the drums. Obviously there was only one direction this could go, but I figured if I was going to screw it up I might as well go all in and totally overplay it as well, so here we are, Basket Case at double time.
Thanks to Michael ‘Feffy’ Ferfoglia for ripping a solo!

Green Day performing Welcome to Paradise and Minority live from the Revolution Radio tour at Mattress Firm Amphitheater in Chula Vista, CA on September 13, 2017. This was shot with a Sony Cyber-shot HX50V.
You’ll have to forgive the poor camerawork, it’s very difficult to hold the camera perfectly still while zoomed in that far.

2012 is looking to be a great year for iCarly fans — I’m Joslyn Davis for ClevverTV and here’s why. The hit TV show is set to release a second installment soundtrack on January 24th, 2012. The itunes presale for iSoundtrack II is already available, and the music on the album is a great mixture of tracks from the show, as well as tracks inspired by iCarly from music stars like Katy Perry, Ke$ha and Taio Cruz. Not only that, the album will also premiere two new, original Miranda Cosgrove songs — “Million Dollars” and “All Kinds of Wrong.” Plus, Miranda’s fellow-iCarly star Jennette McCurdy’s song “Generation Love” is also included. There are 13 songs in all on the album. In other iCarly news, fans can get excited as two new episodes are set to air very soon — “iBloop 2: Electric Bloopaloo,” on December 28th and “iStill Psycho,” on December 31st. Will you be watching and buying the new iCarly soundtrack?
