Buzzcocks are an English punk band, formed in Bolton in 1976. They have been called “the Beatles of punk rock” for their songwriting and melodies.

Footage recorded at Irving Plaza NYC April 16, 2015 and The Stone Pony, Asbury Park, NJ April 17, 2015 (Pete Shelley’s 60th Birthday!)

They are one of my favorite bands since the 70s – but I never saw them live until 2015. My daughter loved bubblegum when she was little and I made up a song for her “Bubblegum Addict” (based of course on “Orgasm Addict”). When she was a teenager she heard the original and she said, “Daddy, how COULD you???”
